Blog Changes
1. I am retiring Church Plant My Eye. After planting Legacy Fellowship, and after meeting for over a year, I feel it's time to kill this blog off. We are still a church plant, but I feel like my focus has changed somewhat from a blogging perspective. I am also killing off the Blogging Legacy blog as well. I will be setting up a new blog that wil simply serve to help me in my endeavor to pastor Legacy. I will make one final post here tomorrow to point to the new location. Follow if you want. But it's time to narrow the focus. Thanks for reading.
2. I am going off the Planter Planet radar as well. Some of the blogging on there does not always hit the church planting topic. Some of the blogging is just plain negative or finger pointing. Thank you Planter Planet. I found some really nice and incredible people because of your aggregator. What a blessing!!!
It's really tough sometimes to navigate information, seek clarity, and be somewhat rigid in the application of the availabilities of techonology. I find that while blogging is incredibly therapeutic, it can be too easy to rant, vent, ramble, exaggerate, frustrate, irritate, bore, etc. And that is the main reason I am narrowing the focus of the new blog and dumping this one.
Men and committment
I have been in the church routine for 20 years now. And other than an occational illness or distracting life event, I have been in church on Sunday. And, honestly, the idea of skipping church has not crossed my mind much. Even though I have been in ministry, church is a place I feel like I want to be, need to be, desire to be. Heading up this church for the last yeer, I see some of the men in our church make it a priority and some not. I know things come up. But, and I am gonna just lay it out here, men should rally their families and get the to church each week. Man up. Be a spiritual giant. Make being involved in the church community a priority. We aren't building a drive in theater. We are building a community. If you arent there, youa rent building community. Your kids are watching your pattern. Your wife is watching your pattern. Your freinds are watching your pattern. Let me encourage you today, men, to be that man of God!!!!
We have plumbing
Went by the new building site today. The plumbing crew is cutting the slab and digging out for the pipe. Our buildout is officially out of the starting blocks and on its first lap.

Need prayer
Not sure why, but whenever I post my prayer requests on the blog, someone prays for us and things start to move. So, here is another...
We simply need some cash this month. We need around $10,000 by the end of the month to help with our buildout, rent for July 1st, and routine expenses. At Legacy, we spend alot of time publicizing needs in and around our church and rarely talk about our needs as a church. I want us to be as outward focused as possible as we try to help meet needs of those we love and serve.
But now, I am asking that you join me in prayer as we ask God to show up big for us. We know we are right in the absolute middle of God's will on our building. So I am simply asking you throw a prayer up for us. Our God is faithful. Our God is our resource. And I refuse to look at what is, and instead, focus on what can become!
I can't wait to post what God has done as a result of this prayer request. Thanks!!!
Baby Explosion
I am not sure what's happening, but we are getting babies. We have some pregnant women in the church. We have some babies that are under a year old and some older than a year. It's like our kids ministry below the age of 7 has exploded. Our new children's pastors haven't even moved here yet and already they have some growth in their department. And, they are bringing three kids with them in this age range.
Rumor has it another couple just found out they are pregnant.
Maybe I was crazy to think 4,500 square feet was enough for our new space. We havent even begun construction yet on our new space and I am thinking of our next building. I think I am sick with vision.
